Secure parking available. also road side parking. Breakfast is hostel style & very informal. Fresh baked bread was really tasty. One disappointment was that the roof top café was closed one day (can't recall which one now & this is a weekly occurrence ? staff day off?)

There are two good restaurants within walking distance: La Cervicheria ( right next door); and Mar y Canela just down the street. Both were very good. Cervicheria if you're on a budget.

Esta limpio, comodo y el personal muy agradable.

El desayuno es variado, se hace por turnos , ya que al ser pequeña la sala respetan aforo tema covid.
En el ultimo piso esta el restaurante que se agradece despues de un dia intenso no tener que desplazarte. La carta es pequeña pero hay para todos los gustos. Si que aconsejaria añadir algun plato de pasta con setas o verduras, ya que sino comes pescado o carne tienes poco por elegir.

Su ubicación es inmejorable, la zona de los palafitos de Gamboa, desde donde te puedes desplazar a todos los atractivos de Castro.
Además, si se desea recorrer la Isla, el Hotel es una muy buena opción, ya que estás equidistante de todos los lugares.
El Hotel fue restaurado con muy buen gusto, atendido por un personal muy amable, que en todo momento están atentos a ayudarte, especialmente Helena, ella es encantadora.
El desayuno exquisito y variado, todo hecho en el momento.
También tienes la opción durante el día de tomar un té o café, ya que es un ambiente muy familiar.

Located on the... read more water this hotel is a traditional stilt house - just what Castro is famous for. My room with a double bed plus single bed was nicely decorated with handmade bed throws and pillows. The interior was mostly in wood. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and lucky me, it had a good bedside reading light. There were a computer room on second floor. Though Internet worked best upstairs and in the reception it was slow in the room. The breakfast room was located on the first floor, and the meal was good. Besides freshly baked rolls and cake, they served the best whole wheat bread I have ever had in Chile. The reception staff was friendly and they invited to a "welcome drink in the bar/cafe on the third floor. The hotel was located within 15 minutes walk to the center of Castro. I highly recommend Hotel Palafito 1326.
